Listen to the compass of your heart. All you need lies within you. ~ Mary Anne Radmacher.

What do I do?

After Receiving my Masters in 2009 I spent the following 6 years working in residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient programs for eating disorder recovery. The following 6 years I worked in behavioral health and school based health centers. Gaining valuable experience working with teens and adults struggling with body acceptance, eating disorders, anxiety, phobias, self harm, depression, trauma and relationship challenges.

I work with couples and am currently in training with the Gottman institute (https://www.gottman.com) for couples therapy.

Active duty, veterans and families of service members are always welcomed into my practice. Before practicing as a therapist I gained valuable experience working with the military in various capacities. Having also been a military family member I am sensitive to the unique challenges facing military personnel and their families.

  • EMDR therapy is an extensively researched method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences.

  • TRE is a mind-body therapy that is designed to release deep muscle tension and reduce stress. Once I have coached you through the exercises you can do this at home on your own.

  • CBT focuses on changing the way we think and behave. It is particularly effective for anxiety and depression.

  • Mindfullness is incorporated into our sessions to increase awareness of the present moment. It is helpful for healing from trauma and anxiety but is also good for general wellbeing.

  • Having lived overseas and speaking two languages I strive to help clients feel understood, validated, and supported within their cultural identities and empower them to draw on their cultural strengths and resources.
